All Sockenstein Lab creations are one-of-a-kind. If you like a particular sock or mohawk you’ve seen used before, we can incorporate that into a custom creation made just for you.
Where do you get your materials from?
I am always on the lookout for exciting and inspiring socks, all of which are always purchased new. Buttons, however, come from a variety of places. New York City is a hub of many exciting places to shop for unusual things. Antique stores and vintage stores are among some of my favorite places to find unusual buttons…and, of course, NYC is blessed with an entire neighborhood of nothing but button shops.

All Sockenstein creations are assembled with visible red thread and have been bestowed with the revered Sockenstein Label of Authenticity.
Do you use other materials than socks?
Occasionally, but all of the scarves, hats and hoodie sweatshirts are made from socks.
